Lovin Coppers

Lovin Coppers

There’s gonna be no foreplay this week. That’s just how excited Jack is about Coppers’ latest coup. Tomorrow (Friday), Copper Face Jacks will be taking over Lovin Dublin’s Instagram account, for the entire day!!! From early morning to, well, early morning, we will be documenting ‘A day in the life of’ Copper Face Jacks’. You lot seem to be familiar with the goings on of our nightclub, so you might just learn a thing or two from what happens behind the scenes! Make sure you’re following Lovin Dublin on Instagram!   Earlier in the week, we announced that our Wednesdays would be getting a bit of a shake up, we like to keep you guessing.  So, when we revealed that Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones would be playing EVERY WEDNESDAY in July and August starting from next week, safe to say it went down a treat. We’re really looking forward to kicking it off, and as always, Jack would advise that you keep an eye on our social media for a chance to win tickets to one of the best gigs in town! Speaking of winning tickets, we have another giveaway for you. Damn, we’re good to you 😉 This time it’s for the one and only Olly Murs, who is playing literally across the road at the Iveagh Gardens. It’s so easy. Come into Coppers, take a picture of yourself with a pint of Carlsberg…and send it to us! Simples! And remember folks, the more entertaining the photo, the better the chance you have of winning! What a time to be alive. Peace out, love always....

So much more than a nightclub

It’s midweek, and it’s a new week in CFJ-HQ. Jack has quite an unusual pep his step all week. Maybe it’s the sunshine? Maybe it’s the tune of  Pretty Young Thing stuck in his head.  Or maybe Jack is just still buzzing from the the past week, a week that will rank very high in the Coppers history books. Wednesday, was a historical day for the country, and it was also quite a monumental one for us here at CFJ. Now, if you don’t know who or what we are talking about, you can probably figure it out. You’ve probably seen it online. You may even have seen it in the Sunday Independent! Jack is not one to gloat, but if Coppers is good enough for the gentleman in question, well then. With the madness that went along with Wednesday, Jack barely had time to cross his legs on Thursday, as there was another huge day ahead. Everyone’s favourite radio man, Eoghan McDermott, was throwing his 2FM listerners party in our venue. Eoghan brought, not one, but two massive acts with him. No bother to ya McDermott boy! The Blizzards, fronted by popular ladies man Bressie (Jack couldn’t get a look in all night, cheers Niall!), absolutely rocked the place.  And as if that wasn’t enough, DJ John Gibbons of ‘Pretty Young Thing’ fame, picked up where The Blizzards left off, and almost took the roof off the gaff. Both acts are hot property at the moment, with The Blizzards supporting The 1975 yesterday in Malahide Castle, and John is only supporting Bieber on Wednesday. No biggie.  It genuinely...
Love letters and Chicken Kievs

Love letters and Chicken Kievs

Who’d have thought it, eh? Our very own Jack The Lad is a bit of an old time romantic it seems. Now, he’s not exactly a wordsmith, but he was mixing it with a host of RTE stars this week. Earlier in the week, Jack received a letter, one that he wouldn’t be used to getting. It was a sort of a kind of a love letter. A letter of regret.  Well, it was a letter from a former love who we haven’t seen in a while. Stefanie Pressiner wrote to us to explain why we she suddenly stopped her regular visits to Coppers. Anyway, the letter was published on the Irish Independent’s online page. Jack responded with a witty response and people loved it.  It was a bit of craic really. Stefanie agreed to rekindle her love with us and join us for dinner, a Chicken Kiev, to be specific. Which brings to mind something Jack wants to talk to you all about. Dinner. You nightclub regulars will know Coppers inside-out, but do you know this… We do food. While nothing will ever compare to Mammy’s dinner, this may just be the next best thing. We have a full carvery menu, Monday to Friday from 12-3. For just €8, you can have a whopper of a feed. We even have a salad bar! Call in and give it a go, Jack says. Let us surprise you. 😉 The highlight of the coming weekend may just be Ireland Vs Austria on Sunday. It’s going to be a huge game for the boys in green. It’s live in Coppers from...
Can you keep up with us?

Can you keep up with us?

It’s been a hectic few weeks lately at CFJ-HQ. With Jack now sitting pretty in the new pad, he’s beginning to work on a long list of ideas and plans in store for Coppers. One of these ventures, a brand new website which is currently in the making. This website isn’t going to be your standard run of the mill website, oh no! We’ve enlisted the help of Google Certified photographers to pimp out our website in 360 footage of our beautiful little village. Jack likes to refer to CFJ as a village, lets face it, Coppers is bigger than most rural villages in the sticks. Is the world even ready for Coppers in virtual reality?    Jack being a big sports nut, is really looking forward to the weekend. On Saturday, the biggest game in Europe is finally here. We’ve been watching on since September, but for one last time season, we’ll be engrossed in the action for another ninety minutes. Coppers is a Sports Bar? There’s a lot more to us than you may realize. Kick off for the game is 19:45, a perfect time to start your Saturday night’s antics. You won’t have to ‘go to Coppers’ later in the night, you’ll already be there! 😉  Another thing for you all to keep an eye out for is the annual Coppers Ski Trip, which was launched yesterday with our partners Topflight. The trip will go on general sale next Friday 9th June @9am. This is our fourth annual trip, and it’s growing every year. Don’t miss out, Jack says. Back next week, enjoy the long weekend you...
